After announcing their separation back in November of 2011, Zooey Deschanel has now officially filed for legal separation from Ben Gibbard.
According to TMZ, the "New Girl" actress submitted divorce papers to end her marriage with the Death Cab for Cutie rocker on December 27th.
With the cause of the split listed as the catchall of "irreconcilable differences," the documents add that the pair parted ways on Halloween of this past year.
Zooey and Ben were married back in 2009 and share no children, with Miss Deschanel telling People magazine after the breakup announcement, "We're friendly. It's all fine."
