After wrapping up the last show on their Ten: The Hits Tour, Girls Aloud confirmed that they have decided to split for good on Wednesday (March 20).
Though the tour was widely expected to be their last, fans were hoping that the group would just go on hiatus as they had in 2009, but a tweet from their Twitter page spelled out the inevitable.
To their followers, they wrote ?Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts Thank you!! This tour has been an amazing experience and the perfect chance to say thank you for being on this journey with us through a decade.?
?It has far exceeded any of our dreams and we hope we are forever your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do glitter!! Your love and support will stay with us forever but we have now come to the end of our incredible time together. Love you lots,? the post continued.
In their seven years together, Girls Aloud amassed twenty top ten hits, including four number one singles and a number one album.
