After Goldie Hawn slipped up in a recent interview by saying that her daughter, Kate Hudson, is married to Matthew Bellamy, she's now backtracking by saying that her words were twisted.
So what exactly did Goldie say? Talking to Britain's ES magazine, the 66-year-old told, "My kids are fantastic with their children, they have an amazing parental ethic and I'm very proud of them for that."
And here's where her words must have been twisted, as Goldie added, "When my daughter Kate married an English rock star it didn't worry me; all that matters (is) that the relationship is a good one. What people do is not necessarily who they are."
Over the weekend, when Hawn was asked about her daughter's secret marriage on Twitter, she replied, "Darling once again twisted the truth. They aren't married. Xx."
Blaming the tabloids even further, she responded to a another tweet by writing, "Baby they never get it right!!"
So far, neither Hudson or Bellamy's rep have addressed the marriage rumors.
