Looks like the pressure is starting to get to Lindsay Lohan. On Sunday, the actress -- who still faces the threat of jail time for her alleged shoplifting -- took a plane from L.A. to visit her family back in New York. Unsurprisingly, the paparazzi were lying in wait at JFK International Airport -- but the 24-year-old admits that she freaked when the flashbulbs went off.
"I love ny - but the paparazzi @ jfk just gave me an anxiety attack," Lohan wrote on her Twitter account. "I was half asleep! they're such animals :( well- @ least im with my family in the end.... xo"
Lohan is now at home with her mother Dina and little sister Ali. She may be leaning on them for support as she makes one of the biggest decisions of her young life: whether to accept a plea deal with jail time, or go to trial for grand larceny theft.
Although Lohan rejected a plea deal on March 10, the judge gave her until March 25 to change her mind. The embattled actress's lawyers are trying to negotiate a deal that will get her out of jail, but so far the judge isn't budging: If she takes a plea deal, he's sending her to jail for at least two months. And if she goes to trial and is found guilty, she could be sentenced to one year.
Here's one possible clue to Lohan's decision: On Monday, TMZ reported that the starlet has quit smoking cold turkey and taken up daily workouts. Is she hoping to impress the judge with her new clean-living lifestyle? Or is she preparing for another stay at Lynwood Correctional Facility, where inmates are forbidden from smoking?
